Technology is not liking me at the moment. In the past few weeks I've discovered the following items to be non-functional:
  • The DVD-ROM/CD-RW in my laptop
  • The 6GB portable drive which I believed to be solid state, but when plugged in appears to have malfunctioning platters by the odd, high-pitched grinding noise
  • The enclosed CD-RW drive hooked up to my desktop computer
  • My electric razor
Suggestions to how I should Earl-Hickey this bad-tech karma are welcome.

I don't know man. My karma is usually solved at starbucks by dropping things on myself or spilling things. Good luck with that. I can send you some mocha syrup to drizzle on things if you feel so inclined.

Since stuff is dying around you, maybe you should find some old technology and keep it alive. Something like an Atari 2600 or a C64. Or an old arcade game. Everyone needs a cocktail cabinet version of Galaga.

Incidentally, I was at a yard sale a couple of weeks ago and had to force myself to not buy an Atari 800XL and 1050 disc drive. Man, that was tough.
