Five questions

From countessmary, my first set of questions...

1. If you had to describe your life with one song, what would it be?
   Just one? Two years ago, it would have been "Restless" by Rumbleseat, eight years ago it would have been "Al's War" by Less Than Jake. Twelve years ago, "In Sadding Around" by Jawbreaker, and eighteen would be a-ha's "The Sun Always Shines on T.V."
   
   Now? I think I'm pretty partial to "Our Own Way" by Hot Water Music


2. What cheesy '80s movie would you want to have lived? (as what character)
   If we go strictly with the 80's part of that question, I'd have to say Lane Meyer from Better Off Dead. I mean, he's got a kick-ass late '60s Camaro, the love of a fine French woman, and his only worry is that he has to scrounge up two dollars for the strangely homicidal paperboy.
   
   If we err on the side of cheese, however, then of course, it's Flash Gordon from the eponymous movie. Princess Aura, rocket cycles, and music that went with that old Vanguard video game that was composed by Queen. Go, Flash! Go!
   


3. Other than computers what invention do you think has changed your life the most?
   Because "the Internet" would likely fall under the umbrella of "computers," I guess I have to choose something different. While most people who know me would expect me to say the TiVo, that device would be pretty useless without the television.
   
   And without the television I couldn't possibly enjoy the wealth of movies that are constantly replaying in my head.


4. What's your favorite kind of ice cream?
   Most of the time, I tend to prefer sorbet or gelato; but couple of weeks ago, I went to IKEA and got a soft-serve vanilla cone three days in a row.
   
   So, in essence, my favorite kind of ice cream is the cold kind...
   


5. Can you see yourself married with kids and such?
   Yes, indeed.

Those are awesome questions.

1) I love 'em both, but my allegiance is to Texas 'cue.

2) Miller High Life.

3) The brewing. I like beer and all, but mostly I love making things.

4) Back in the old days I was a coder for an underground art group called iCE (http://www.ice.org). I wrote an ANSI viewer that used smooth scrolling, the first of its kind. Many people tried to duplicate it, but until the Win32 GUI made DOS obsolete, it was the reigning king of ANSI viewers.

5) It's a great game, and I totally suck at it. I love watching my friends play it, though.
